A passionate D&I advocate, Heytens now leads people and talent strategy aligned with Microsoft’s mission and business goals in the region.
Since September 2022, Annella Heytens joined Microsoft Asia as General Manager, Human Resources.
In this role, Heytens leads the people and talent strategy aligned with Microsoft’s mission and business goals in the region, responsible for helping to create a culture that attracts and inspires the world’s most passionate talent. She also focuses on providing HR leadership to the business, aligning people strategy and business performance by making Microsoft an exceptional place to work and empowering (over 40,000 ) area employees to thrive.
Prior to accepting this assignment, Heytens has over 20 years of global HR leadership experience, her most recent role at Amazon Web Services where she was responsible for people experience and technology for the APJC region. . She has also held leadership positions with the Coca-Cola Bottling Investments Group, Cisco Systems and Willis Towers Watson.
During these tenures, Heytens developed expertise in design thinking, business model innovation, talent management, improving performance and growth, and driving business results.
Heytens is a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion and is an Institute for Human Resource Professionals (IHRP) Certified Master Practitioner. Having lived and worked in the United States, India, Indonesia, the Greater China region and Singapore, she is deeply connected to the Asia region.
